Focus

The Pocket PC Project is an exciting and innovative pilot study into the use of hand-held computer technology in the classroom. It is a partnership between Immanuel Lutheran College and the Queensland University of Technology. The project is funded by the Australian Government Quality Teacher Program and the Immanuel Lutheran College community, and it is administered through the Association of Independent Schools of Queensland.

Year 12's

We view this as an exciting opportunity to pursue the College's goal of embedding technology into the curriculum to enhance student learning outcomes. To our knowledge, only one other school in Australia is involved in an initiative of this nature.

Benefits

In 2004, the project emphasis is on training staff and developing suitable strategies to embed the technology into the curriculum. In 2005 the emphasis will shift to classroom implementation with a target group of year 12 students.
