The Australia/New Zealand Reference
Centre is an online index providing access to full-text articles and
combines Australasian magazines, newspapers, newswires and reference
books to create the largest collection of regional full text content
available to libraries in Oceania. This database includes leading
Australia/NZ periodicals and international periodicals in full text;
full text reference books; more than 84,500 full text biographies and an
Image Collection of greater than 276,000 photos, maps and flags.

Australian Dictionary of Biography : Online edition - The ADB Online is
an incredibly rich resource for teachers and students, containing over
10,000 scholarly biographical articles on 11,237 individuals who were
significant in Australian history; with a few exceptions, these persons
died before 1981 (all died by 1986). The website enables users to find
words or phrases in the ADB’s eight million words of text. It also
allows structured searches using categories such as occupation and other
criteria useful for historical inquiry.
