New Primary School Students


New Primary School students from Years 4 to 6 will be allocated their devices on Wednesday, 3 February 2021 at 3.30 pm in the library. 

Important: Please note, in order for students to receive their devices at the Out of the Box session, parents must read the Acceptable Use Guidelines and complete the online Parent 1 to 1 Device User Agreement form prior to the information session. Primary School classrooms will be open on Friday, 22 January 2021, between 8.30am to 9.30am. Primary School students can come and meet with their teacher. 

Information will be emailed to all new parents in Week 1 of the new academic year. It's important to keep this email safe as it contains an ID that will be used to sign into SEQTA. SEQTA is a gateway to your child's academic reports, fee statements, notices and your child's academic timetable.

UNIFORM TIMETABLE: All families will receive an email during the holidays from the Primary School Office with information about the Uniform Timetable.

The Primary School Uniform Timetable advises on which days to wear which uniform.

At the start of each term, this information is updated and available via the SEQTA Engage Portal on our website and the College Shop web page.

Please note that SEQTA Engage will not be available until your child has commenced their studies at Immanuel and your login details will be emailed to you in the first week of school.


Parking in the first couple of weeks of a new school year can be busy. To keep the traffic flowing smoothly, we will have staff guiding traffic in the first two weeks of the first term.

Primary School parents are encouraged to park near the Worship Centre or down by the swimming pool/College Shop. Rim Road is also another option for parking and drop off.

The Immanuel Early Learning Centre Car Park (out the front of the Main Administration Building) is strictly off limits for College families to park or drop off  children unless they have a child attending the IELC. 

Prep students will have a staggered start and information regarding the timetable for the first week will be sent to you by the Primary School Office over the holiday break. 

The 2021 academic year commences on Wednesday 27 January 2021 (except Prep students, who will be notified in writing regarding their staggered start dates). Students should aim to be at the College by 8:15 am for an 8:30 am start. On the first day of school, all new students are to go directly to their classrooms where they will meet with their teacher and be introduced to their buddies. If you are not sure where your child’s class is located then one of our staff in the Primary School Office will be happy to assist. 

2020 ACADEMIC AND NAPLAN REPORTS: For those who haven’t done so as yet, please forward copies of your child’s Semester 2, 2020 reports and 2020 NAPLAN results (if applicable) to the Primary School Office to be added to your child’s student records.

PRIMARY SCHOOL TUCKSHOP: All recess and lunch orders must be lodged online (refer to information regarding FlexiSchools), and orders must be placed before 9:00 am. Primary School Tuckshop operates on the following days: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Menus are available via the Tuckshop website.


The date for Grandparents Day will be available in the printed College Calendar. To ensure that your child’s grandparents receive an invitation, please register for Grandparent's Day.


In 2021 our Prep students will receive 10 free lessons in our Learn to Swim Program as part of PE in term 4.


Under the Education (General Provisions) Act 2006 (Qld) parents have a legal obligation to ensure that their children attend school and if your child is likely to be absent from school for more than 10 consecutive school days (e.g. holiday, illness), prior approval must be obtained from the Principal. An Application for Exemption form can be obtained either from Student Services or the Enrolments Registrar.


If your child is in the Primary School and needs to leave early, you must meet them personally at Student Services to sign them out.


If your child is absent from school, please call the Absentee Line on 5477 3459.


The inter-house swimming carnival for years 1-6 will be held in November 2021.
