Library Webs provides students and teachers with an Internet Library which caters for most assignment topics set for students in Australian secondary schools. The collection is arranged like a regular library, with topics divided into sections which help students to grasp the topic as a whole while being able to investigate aspects of it in depth. Currently the collection consists of over 260 topics and approximately 60,000 selected links.
Online Edition offers encyclopedia articles with images, maps, games, and other learning materials for students of all levels.
MacquarieNet is an excellent resource. Features include a database of thousands of images, the Macquarie Dictionary, encyclopaedias and access to AAP News services. Please note that you can only access this resource if you are using a computer linked to Immanuel’s network.

The Australian History Mysteries case studies are designed to stimulate students’ interest in and engagement with aspects of their history and heritage, and to develop the skills needed in pursuing historical studies. They are relevant to Australian Curriculum : History with its emphasis on inquiry learning and historical skills development. Each case study contains a wide range of primary and secondary source evidence, including museum objects, national archival collections and historic sites.
The Australia/New Zealand Reference Centre is an online index providing access to full-text articles and combines Australasian magazines, newspapers, newswires and reference books to create the largest collection of regional full text content available to libraries in Oceania. This database includes leading Australia/NZ periodicals and international periodicals in full text; full text reference books; more than 84,500 full text biographies and an Image Collection of greater than 276,000 photos, maps and flags.

Australian Dictionary of Biography : Online edition - The ADB Online is an incredibly rich resource for teachers and students, containing over 10,000 scholarly biographical articles on 11,237 individuals who were significant in Australian history; with a few exceptions, these persons died before 1981 (all died by 1986). The website enables users to find words or phrases in the ADB’s eight million words of text. It also allows structured searches using categories such as occupation and other criteria useful for historical inquiry.
