Enhancing Minds

Going Beyond the Everyday

At Immanuel, we understand that every student has different interests and ways of thinking. That’s why we’ve created academic programs that let kids explore subjects they’re passionate about, test new ideas, and challenge themselves in ways the regular classroom can’t always provide.

Why These Programs Matter

Real Learning, Real Growth

These aren’t just extra activities – they’re chances for your child to discover what they’re capable of. Whether they’re solving complex problems in robotics, finding their voice in debating, or working through chess strategies, they’re building skills that help them think differently and tackle challenges with confidence.

Brainways offers a series of fun, fast-paced workshops that stretch thinking and spark curiosity. It’s perfect for those who love a challenge and want to dive deeper into complex concepts beyond the regular classroom.

Our chess program is about more than just moving pieces on a board. Students learn to plan ahead, think strategically, and solve problems – all while having fun with their peers. Open to beginners and seasoned players alike.

In Coding Club, students explore the world of programming in a playful, hands-on environment. Whether building their first game or tackling a new tech challenge, kids learn the foundations of digital thinking in a way that’s fun and age-appropriate.

Ten disciplines. One team. This academic challenge tests creativity, logic, teamwork, and speed as students compete across subjects like engineering, philosophy and code-breaking in a fun, competitive setting.

Our debating teams develop sharp minds and confident voices. Students learn how to build an argument, speak with clarity, and think on their feet – essential skills for life, not just the stage.

Students take flight as they explore the exciting world of drones. From coding flight paths to mastering drone manoeuvres, this club blends fun, problem-solving and real-world tech skills.

A relaxed and fun way for students to practise their German outside the classroom. Through games, food, and conversation, they’ll build confidence while deepening their cultural understanding.

A chance for our German language learners to shine. This annual event gives students an opportunity to speak confidently in another language while building presentation skills and cultural appreciation.

A supportive, quiet space to stay on top of schoolwork. Students can get organised, ask questions, and build good study habits in a structured yet friendly environment.

For students who love deep thinking, this event challenges them to explore ethical dilemmas and work through them as a team. It’s about reasoning respectfully and listening with empathy.

More than just blocks – Lego Club is a creative space for inventors, problem-solvers, and team players. Students collaborate on challenges or free build their own masterpieces.

This prestigious national program recognises outstanding young Australians. Students develop interview, public speaking, and leadership skills through a highly respected competition format.

Blending mindfulness with fun, this program helps young students explore emotions, build resilience, and practice calm—all in a playful, story-driven format.

Step into the courtroom with this competitive legal program where students explore real cases, develop their public speaking skills, and argue as if in front of a judge.

For lovers of logic and brainteasers. Whether it’s crosswords, Sudoku or escape-room-style challenges, Puzzle Club is where students train their thinking skills while having fun.

A reading competition for book lovers. Teams read a set of novels and compete in a quiz-style format that rewards teamwork, memory and a love of literature.

A calm, welcoming space for early readers to grow in confidence. Students read aloud, share stories, and fall in love with books in a relaxed, supportive environment.

Robotics is where engineering meets imagination. Students build and code robots while working together to solve challenges – no experience needed.

Our secondary robotics team builds, codes and competes. From Lego EV3 to advanced programming, students get hands-on experience with tech that teaches teamwork, logic and creativity.

Explosions, dissections, and discoveries! Secondary Science Club takes learning outside the textbook with hands-on experiments and real-world applications of science.

Think fizzing volcanoes, slime, and mini rockets. It’s a fun, messy and educational way to explore science through experimentation.

Offered to selected high-achieving students, these full-day workshops allow deep dives into specialist areas of science, technology, maths and the arts – alongside like-minded peers from across the region.

For our future inventors and tinkerers. Sparkies is an engineering and electronics club where students use real tools and circuits to build exciting projects from scratch.

In this engineering challenge, students design, build and test bridges – learning teamwork, resilience and structural design along the way.

Students get behind the scenes of school events, running AV, lights, and sound like pros. A great fit for those who love tech and problem-solving.

Perfect for budding scientists. This chemistry-based club gives students hands-on experience with lab techniques and a chance to compete in university-run challenges.

From short stories to poetry, young authors find their voice here. Run in partnership with Write Like an Author, the program nurtures creativity in a fun, workshop-style format.
