Mt Binga: Four Weeks of Growth
Year 10 at Immanuel brings Mt Binga — four unforgettable weeks of adventure and personal growth. Students learn to cook, clean, and overcome challenges alongside their peers, building independence and confidence every step of the way. From hiking to animal care, every day brings exciting new experiences — completely technology-free.
This is part of our curriculum, not missed class time. Years later, graduates still call Mt Binga one of their most transformative Immanuel experiences. It's not just a camp — it's a rite of passage.

The Rite Journey: Navigating Adolescence
Year 9 brings The Rite Journey — our way of helping kids navigate the tricky waters of growing up. It's not about lectures; it's about conversations that matter — self-worth, relationships, and finding their place in the world. It's preparation for Mt Binga, and more importantly, preparation for life.

School camps: building independence
From Year 3 onwards, camp isn't just a break from school — it's a chance to grow. By the time they hit Year 11, your child will have explored beaches, forests, and mountains, and discovered strengths they never knew they had.
Year 3 — Luther Heights
A memorable milestone — the first overnight adventure for our primary students, building independence and connection.
Year 4 — Sunshine Coast Recreation Precinct
High ropes, archery and bodyboarding — growing in confidence with every challenge tackled.
Year 5 — Mt Binga
First glimpse of our exceptional outdoor education centre — feeding farm animals, high ropes, and exploring the bushland.
Year 6 — Canberra
Democracy comes alive at Parliament House, the Australian War Memorial and the Australian Institute of Sport.
Year 7 — Mt Binga
A deeper dive into Mt Binga life — conquering the high ropes course by day and sleeping under canvas by night.
Year 8 — Camp Drewe, Lennox Head
Ocean adventures — beach games, team challenges and stunning headland walks.
Year 9 — CYC Noosa
Lake Cootharaba becomes the playground for stand-up paddleboarding, canoeing and sailing.
Year 10 — Mt Binga
The transformative four-week Mt Binga experience that turns teenagers into young adults.
Year 11 — Moreton Island
Snorkelling the Tangalooma Wrecks, tackling towering sand dunes, and strengthening bonds for the final school years.
Year 12 — Luther Heights
A final celebration of the Immanuel journey — beach challenges, reflection time and meaningful conversations.
Duke of Edinburgh's Award (Years 9–12)
Students work through bronze, silver and gold levels as they develop resilience, service and outdoor skills — all at their own pace.
Kokoda Challenge (Years 9–12)
One of Australia's toughest endurance events — 48km of trekking and teamwork. Students train for months and push their limits in support of youth charities.
