Scientific name: Lophostemon confertus
Height: Can grow up to 40 meters tall.
Bark: The bark is rough and flaky at the base of the tree, becoming smoother higher up.
Leaves: Glossy green, oval-shaped, 7-12 cm long.
Flowers: Creamy-white flowers in clusters, bloom in late spring to early summer.
Fruit: Small, woody capsules about 10-15 mm in diameter.
First Nations Uses: flooring, cladding, paneling and some structural applications.
Geographical location: Occurs along the edges of the rainforest areas of the central coast of New South Wales to Bowen in Queensland
