Common Name: Lowland Richmond birdwing butterfly vine
Scientific Name: Paristolochia praevenos
Height: The birdwing butterfly vine grows about 10-20 metres.
Leaves: It has alternate narrow, lanceolate shaped leaves with a sandpapery texture.
Flowers: Flowers are 2.5 centimetres long, tubular, and pinkish with yellow inside. They flower from September to November.
Fruit: It has orange oval shaped seedpods with a fleshy centre.
Geographical location: Found only in subtropical Southeast Queensland and northern New South Wales.
