Our Learning Enhancement Team is here to help students overcome learning barriers, strengthen their confidence, and take charge of their progress — in a school where support is real, relationships matter, and we work together to make things happen.
Helping students move from "I can't" to "I can"
The Learning Enhancement Department (LED) works closely with students, families and staff to create support that's targeted, practical and personal — through in-class support, small group programs and individualised, strengths-based learning plans.
Inclusive, intentional, student-centred
We work closely with families to understand each child's unique needs and provide adjustments where we can, with Teacher Aides available across year levels to give responsive assistance where it's most needed.

We believe the best outcomes happen when schools and families work as one team, grounded in collaboration, backed by data, and shaped by our values of care, connection and respect.
A connected team
Specialist teachers and Teacher Aides work with the broader Wellbeing network — Counsellors, Occupational Therapists, House Leaders, Youth Worker and Directors of Wellbeing — sharing information and planning together.

A place to connect, create and feel confident
From music, sport and drama to Eco Club, robotics, and service initiatives like Interact, our programs are wide-ranging and welcoming. Students with additional learning needs are supported by staff who understand how to help them settle in, get involved and enjoy the experience.

We work closely with families of each child to understand their individual needs and determine whether our learning environment is the best fit — handled with honesty, care and a shared goal. Does my child need a diagnosis to access support?
No. A formal diagnosis is not required. If a teacher, parent or student raises concerns, our team will begin a conversation and look at how we can provide appropriate assistance.
What is the Green Space and who is it for?
A secluded area within the Student Services building where students can take time out, regulate or settle if they're feeling overwhelmed, supported by staff trained in calm, sensory-aware care.
How does Immanuel support neurodivergent students?
We offer inclusive classroom strategies, sensory-aware environments, access to the Green Space, and optional Personalised Support Plans, working closely with students and families.
What is LANS?
Language and Numeracy Support — an alternative to studying a language for selected students, offering extra time to strengthen core literacy and numeracy skills.
What's the process if I think my child may need support?
In Primary School, speak with your child's classroom teacher. In Secondary, your first step is their House Leader. From there, the right people from Learning Enhancement and Wellbeing will be involved.
