Immanuel FC

Paving the way for success.

For soccer stars in the making, Immanuel Football Club (FC) operates within the Junior Sunshine Coast Churches Soccer Association (SCCSA) competition across the age groups U6-U17/18, which aligns with Prep through to Year 12. Immanuel FC is open for children within the school community, with 30% of players from outside the College. The club helps children to develop their best abilities, growing confidence and resilience as they advance through the age groups. Immanuel Football Club provides a pathway for players to represent in older age groups, U10 to U17/18.

ILC Netball

The team to beat.

For a fast-paced, intensive game, ILC Netball Club is open to students from Immanuel as well as other schools on the Sunshine Coast. The club is a Sunshine Coast Netball Association (SCNA) member which is part of Netball Queensland. The season is open from March to September and games are held on Saturday mornings at the Sunshine Coast Netball Association courts in Maroochydore. The club is run by volunteer parents and community members, offering a fun, supportive, family-focused environment.

Immanuel Secondary School students (Years 7-12) also play in the Sunshine Coast Secondary Schools’ Netball Competition (SCSSNC) from February to June. Games are held on Monday nights at the Sunshine Coast Netball Association Courts in Maroochydore.

Swim School

Creating internal drive and thinking big.

Have fun and stay safe in the water with Immanuel Swim School. Accessible to all members of the community, our Swim School is dedicated to providing a professional approach, with fun programs led by experienced instructors. We offer three levels: water familiarisation with basic swimming practices and water safety skills, stroke development to teach children the biomechanics of basic swimming techniques, and advanced stroke development to enhance race fitness and introduce children to squads. For Swim Schools Sunshine Coast, Immanuel Lutheran College offers the best value and experience.

Taking place before or after school, or during lunch break, cocurricular activities can help students to:

  • enhance social skills and make friends with like-minded students
  • improve academic performance through the development of concentration and time management skills
  • relieve stress and relax, taking the focus off homework and studying for exams
  • develop special interests and hobbies that can last well past school years
  • find or enhance career goals outside conventional learning techniques
  • become more independent in learning and development.
