Immanuel offers an outstanding dance program that is highly regarded within the college and the wider community. Our dance program includes various styles such as ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, and tap. We are dedicated to empowering talented dancers, providing them with an incredible opportunity to showcase and develop their skills.
Dance Scholarship recipients are expected to focus on their dance development and actively participate in the College’s dance program. Scholarships are awarded based on a successful audition and interview with the selection panel.

A Dance Scholarship at Immanuel Lutheran College can open doors to a world of opportunities. Our alumni have gone on to perform on international stages, study at prestigious dance academies, and even compete in national dance competitions. This scholarship is not just about education; it’s about creating a future filled with possibilities and achievements in the world of dance.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for a Dance Scholarship, applicants must have at least four years of experience at a dance school or academy and have taken lessons in ballet and two or more other genres such as contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, or tap. Candidates must also demonstrate sound academic achievement.
Students entering Years 7 to 11 next year are eligible to apply.
The Audition
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an audition and interview with the selection panel. Candidates should be prepared to perform three 2-minute routines in ballet, contemporary, and a genre of their choice. The audition may be filmed, and candidates are required to wear a leotard and shorts. The candidate will supply audition music on an iPod or iPhone.
The Scholarship Process
Applying for a Dance Scholarship at Immanuel is a straightforward process. Candidates must complete an online application form available below and submit a video of themselves performing two contrasting pieces. The video can be provided as a link or on a USB.
