Immanuel offers an outstanding drama program that is highly regarded within the college and the wider community. Our drama program includes various styles and techniques, allowing students to explore and develop their acting skills. We are dedicated to empowering talented actors, providing them with an incredible opportunity to showcase and refine their talents.

Drama Scholarship recipients are expected to focus on their dramatic development and actively participate in the College’s drama program. Scholarships are awarded based on a successful audition and interview with the selection panel.

For New Beginnings

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for a Drama Scholarship, applicants must have at least two years of experience in community theatre productions, participate in drama workshops, and be actively involved with an amateur theatre group. Candidates must also demonstrate an ability to critically analyse and review dramatic elements and have sound academic achievement.

Students entering Years 7 to 11 in 2025 are eligible to apply.

The Audition

What to Expect

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an audition and interview with the selection panel. Candidates should be prepared to perform two monologues: one heritage (e.g., Shakespeare, Chekhov, Ibsen) and one contemporary (post-1980) or two contrasting styles (e.g., dramatic and comical). The audition may be recorded.

The Scholarship Process

How to Apply

Applying for a Drama Scholarship at Immanuel is a straightforward process. Candidates must complete an online application form available below and submit a video of themselves performing two contrasting pieces. The video can be provided as a link or on a USB.
