Immanuel offers an outstanding music program that is highly regarded within the college and the wider community. Our music program includes various bands, orchestras, ensembles, and choirs that perform at regular concerts and community events.
We are dedicated to empowering musically gifted students, providing them with an incredible opportunity to showcase and develop their talents. Music Scholarship recipients are expected to focus on their musical development and actively participate in the College’s music program.
Scholarships are awarded based on a successful audition and interview with the selection panel.

A Music Scholarship at Immanuel can open doors to a world of opportunities. Our alumni have gone on to travel the world, study at prestigious institutions like the Griffith Conservatorium of Music, and even compete on platforms such as Australian Idol.
This scholarship is not just about education; it’s about creating a future filled with possibilities and achievements in the world of music.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for a Music Scholarship, applicants must have attained a minimum Level/Grade 3 AMEB/Trinity or equivalent on their chosen instrument and demonstrate sound academic achievement. We seek students who are passionate about music and committed to contributing to the College’s music program.
Students entering Years 7 to 11 next year are eligible to apply.
The Audition Process
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an audition and interview with the Head of Arts and Instrumental Music Coordinator. Candidates should be prepared to perform three contrasting pieces, scales, arpeggios, and may be asked to demonstrate their skills on multiple instruments if applicable
The audition will also include aural testing, sight-reading, and theoretical content to assess the candidate’s overall musical knowledge.
The Scholarship Process
Applying for a Music Scholarship at Immanuel is a straightforward process. Candidates must complete an online application form available below and submit a video of themselves performing two contrasting pieces. The video can be provided as a link or on a USB.
