What is Artist on The Horizon?

Back for its second year, Artists on the Horizon returns in 2025 with even more opportunities to shine. This exciting art competition showcases the incredible talent of young creatives, inviting emerging artists to share their vision and be recognised for their work.

The student focused event is all about celebrating the incredible talent of young artists like you from the Sunshine Coast and beyond.

Why You Can’t Miss It:

We want to see your visual and creative art pieces that celebrate your unique style and vision. Whether you paint, draw, sculpt, take photos, or create wearable art, this is your chance to shine! With a prize pool of over $5,000 generously donated by our sponsors, this is your chance to be part of a growing platform that celebrates imagination, originality, and artistic expression.

  • Entries Close: Wednesday 20 August at 5.00pm
  • Cost to Entry: Entry is FREE
  • Age group: Open to young artists ready to make their mark from Prep to Year 12
  • When: Saturday, August 30, 2025
  • Where: A.J. Stadium, Immanuel Lutheran College, Buderim

Join us at Immanuel Lutheran College for an exciting exhibition and sale of student artworks, open to the public from 10am to 5pm on Saturday 30 August, 2025. It’s free to enter and entry to the gallery is just $2 per person, or $5 for a family. Winners will be announced throughout the day.
